Marmax Products Ltd is part of The Samuel Grant Group, established in 1891.
Marmax Products Ltd. is part of the Samuel Grant Group. Samuel Grant began his business in 1891 by selling stationery supplies to schools in the Leeds area. Over the years stationery evolved into packaging and the company expanded across the North of England to become The Samuel Grant Group, the largest independently owned packaging distributor and manufacturer in the North of England. Samuel Grant's two great grandsons now run the Company.
Great Grandson Matthew Grant has taken a particular interest in Marmax Products Ltd. since it became part of the Group in 1998, establishing the manufacturing site in Stanley Co. Durham. Schools now buy our recycled plastic outdoor furniture; a far cry from the slates and chalk supplied by Samuel Grant at the end of the 19th century.
Since Marmax Products Ltd. moved to Stanley in 1998 the factory buildings have doubled in size. The company is now one of the market leaders in the manufacture of recycled plastic products, supplying a wide range of products including produce boxes, outdoor furniture and boardwalks to schools, councils and industry.
Marmax Products Ltd. manufactures all its products on site enabling us to offer bespoke solutions to our customers’ needs as well as a wide range of stock lines. The company has grown with the increased awareness of environmental issues and is proud to boast that it is in the forefront of the drive to reduce landfill and make waste a resource rather than a problem. All products are made from 100% recycled plastic (HDPE) and all are manufactured to our Environmental Standard ISO 14001 registered facility in Durham, England.
